How to make your collection
First, you might want to see our example collection to see how nice it can look.
Follow these steps to make your own Pinterest collection of math worksheets:
- You will need a Pinterest account. Simply request an invite at the Pinterest Website.
- Create a new board with a descriptive name (e.g. Class 7b Homework Assignments, Grade 3 Geometry Worksheets, etc.). You can actually skip this step and create the board when you pin your first worksheet.
- Visit any worksheet page at Math-Drills.com or MathShare.com and use the Pin it button in the right column.
- The name of the worksheet will automatically be inserted into your pin, or you can customize it by typing whatever you like in there. For example, "Homework for Monday, May 14."
Keep visiting worksheet pages and pinning them until you have a collection
Free Math Stuff
We're so interested in seeing your math worksheet boards that we are giving away free math stuff to teachers or parents who create a Pinterest board collection of our math worksheets. We'll choose our five favorite boards and send you each $50 worth of math stuff. Some geographic restrictions apply due to the availability of math supplies in certain countries and/or shipping costs. We reserve the right to have sole discretion in regards to the awarding of our prizes.
To enter, simply post a link to your board as a comment on this post OR you can email a link to admin@math-drills.com (if you don't have a blogger account).
Good luck!
What is the deadline for this, or is it ongoing?
ReplyDeleteDeadline of June 30, 2012 added to the post. Thanks for asking :-)
ReplyDeleteI already have a "math in Mrs. Reynolds' room" board - can I pin to that or do I need to create a new board that is exclusive to pins from math-drills?
ReplyDeleteFor the contest, the board needs to contain pins from Math-Drills.com and/or MathShare.com, but there is no reason why you can't have pins from elsewhere on the board as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThis is a great idea. Unfortunately, this function is limited when all social networking websites are blocked at the school.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, some schools and school boards limit access to social networking websites and plugins and there really isn't anything we can do about that. The ironic part about schools blocking social networking websites, of course, is that they involve students in engaging and authentic literacy activities on a regular basis (although we also understand the drawbacks too). Hopefully, you are able to participate on a different computer. Cheers and thanks for the comment!
DeleteIf the worksheets are pinned to our account, can we print from pinterest or is there a link back to the math-drills.com page? If they are there just to look at, I would still need to find them on the website.
ReplyDeleteThe image that you pin is a picture rather than the pdf file, but it is linked back to the website. If you click an image on your Pinterest board, you see a larger version. If you click the larger version, Pinterest sends you to the worksheet page.
